From October 1st to 31st, Arashiyama hosts the Bamboo Path Light-Up (嵐山月灯路). Lanterns transform the town into a magical and romantic nightscape.

During the event, the Arashiyama town area glows softly under lantern lights. The Kimono Forest near Randen Arashiyama Station becomes particularly romantic at night — a highlight not to miss. While some shops normally close at 6:00 PM, a few may stay open later during this special event (though not guaranteed).

We recommend a hidden local restaurant nearby — ideal for a quick dinner before your tour. The food is very good, and it might stay open past 6:00 PM during this event.
